Biography

Dr. Nicholas Farber graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a Chancellor’s Scholar. He then studied at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the most prestigious medical honor society. He completed his urologic surgery residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey and was recognized for his performance with awards including “Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgeon” and “Highest Training Examination Score.” Upon graduation, he earned the position of Men’s Health and Male Fertility Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, which U.S. News and World Report frequently ranks as the #1 urologic surgery program in the country.

Dr. Farber has extensive training in all aspects of urology for both male and female patients, with particular expertise in minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), Men’s Health (penile implant surgery, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, and rapid recovery, no-scalpel vasectomy), male infertility (vasectomy reversal, varicocele, sperm retrieval, treatment of low sperm count), and minimally invasive treatments for overactive bladder in men and women (including Botox and Interstim). In addition, he has extensive experience treating both urologic cancers and benign urologic conditions using minimally invasive robotic surgery. Dr. Farber has participated in hundreds of robotic procedures using Intuitive Surgical’s DaVinci™ Xi and Si platforms, and has presented cutting edge robotic surgical techniques to other urologists at the North American Robotic Urology Symposium (NARUS). He is a leader in the field of urology, having published over 100 combined peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters and presented novel research findings to both national and international audiences.
